About

Marco Obermeier has been working as a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Technology Nuremberg (UTN) since March 2025. Previously, he completed his master’s thesis at N-ERGIE Aktiengesellschaft on „Further Development of an Energy Fundamental Model for Long-term Analysis and Prediction of Electrical Residual Load until 2050.“ From January 2023 to July 2024, he worked as a Research Assistant at Energy Campus Feuchtwangen of Ansbach University of Applied Sciences. His professional experience also includes positions as a Data Scientist at BUILD.ING Consultants + Innovators GmbH, Student Research Assistant at FENES Regensburg, and various roles in software development at Diehl Metering, intive automotive, and Oechsler AG, which he completed alongside his studies to gain valuable industry experience. He completed his Master of Science in Applied Research in Engineering Sciences with a focus on Energy Data Engineering at Ansbach University of Applied Sciences in March 2025, after previously earning a Bachelor of Science in Technical Computer Science at OTH Regensburg. Additionally, he holds qualifications as a state-certified electrical engineer and electronics technician for automation technology.
