About

Ulrike Pfefferer holds a Master’s degree in Economics with a focus on Energy Markets and Public Economics from the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU). From September 2022 to February 2024, she worked as a research associate and doctoral student at the Chair of Economic Theory at the FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg in the research area Energy Markets and Sector Coupling. Since March 2024 she is part of the Energy Systems and Market Design Lab at the University of Technology Nuremberg.

Her current research interests include regulatory uncertainty in the electricity market, the use of regional flexibility for market-based congestion management and market-driven investments in generation capacity under uncertain developments in the context of the European electricity market.
