Artificial and human intelligence – emotion recognition
Date: 6. November 2024Time: 19:00 – 20:30Location: Zukunftsmuseum (Augustinerstraße 4, 90403 Nuremberg)
Dive into the fascinating world of intelligence! Over the course of five evenings, our series of events will explore the complexities of human and artificial intelligence. Experts from the fields of philosophy, cognitive psychology, sociology, neurobiology and computer science will give exciting talks and discuss the latest research.
In the second session, Dr. Jens Garbas (Fraunhofer IIS) will present aspects of artificial intelligence with a focus on emotion recognition by machines. As a highlight - and in the spirit of the interdisciplinarity practiced at the UTN - this will be followed by a panel discussion on the topic of intelligence in humans and machines with experts from three disciplines: Dr. Jens Garbas (Computer Science), Prof. Dr. Gyburg Uhlmann (Classics and Philosophy) and Prof. Dr. Magdalena Abel (Cognitive Psychology). Afterwards, they will of course also be available to answer questions from the audience!
